THE LIST

Well here it is, the complete list of free Government Auction sites I know of so far. To my knowledge, you will not have to pay an annual membership fee for any of these sites. I will continue to search for more free Government Auction sites and post them here as I go, so check back with me from time to time, or better yet Bookmark and Subscribe in order to receive updates automatically. If you know of any free Government auction sites, please email them to me and I will post them here. My email address is: governmentauctiondude@gmail.com

www.ebay.com
As I mentioned previously even ebay hosts Government Auctions. You simply have to know that Government Agency or State's User ID. Go to ebay.com and right next to the Search button click on Advanced Search. After clicking on Advanced Search click on Items by Seller to the left of your screen. Where it says Enter seller's User ID type in the User ID and hit Search. It should take you directly to that State's auction page. If the State does not have any auctions running at that time, ebay will let you know. Here are some State User ID's I am aware of at this time. Simply click on the links below for a faster way to get there. If you are not yet a member of ebay click here to Register.

www.liquidation.com

liquidatiom.com is a great site where the State of Georgia, the District of Columbia, and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority have hosted some of their auctions. I have found that they sell everything from computers to vehicles of all type. If I find any other State, County, City, or Government Agency selling through this site I will post it here. Go to the link above and sign up. It's free to join and you can find a lot of great items being sold by other sellers at great closeout price. Keep in mind though that a lot of these items are returns from stores and are sold As Is without warranty or guaranty. Many of them are also refurbished. Therefore you should carefully read the information provided by the seller before making a bid. Just like ebay though, you sometimes have to type in the Seller's ID in order to find their auctions. And the reason I say sometimes is because most of the times, if not everytime I have done a search for vehicles, the ones that came up were from the Government. Simply click on Advanced Search and enter one of the Seller Usernames below.

GA-Surplus, GA-Surplus2, GA-Surplus3, MWAA, G-DC-DPW, G-DC.

GovLiquidation.com is another great site I recomend you become a member of. It is actually the sister site of wwww.liquidation.com and I think they are owned by the same company. This site is amazing. I'm surprised that it is not owned by the Government itself since it sell so much military surplus. You can find anything from 100,000 pounds of bullet shells, to tents, to bunk beds through these guys. They have listings for military bases throughout the country. Check them out, it's worth a look.

PropertyRoom.com is a great site which offers Free Police Auctions online. From the information provided on their website, it was started by a group of former Law Enforcement Officers. The site particularly host Police Auctions from the State of California, Florida, and New York. I also think that there are private sellers on this site but if you click on the categories section to the left of your screen then the items displayed should only be those from Police Agencies. Go check it out and register, it's free.

www.bid4assets.com

bid4assets.com is a really good free to join Government Auction site. It hosts auctions for Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies. They have almost anything up for bid at any given time. Items up for bid range from Real Estate, to Tax Auctions, to Aircraft. Like many other auction sites bid4asset.com host many items from private sellers as well. So do your research if you only plan to buy from the Government. This site also holds Tax Lien Certificate Auctions from many Counties in different States. Sign up for the free automatic email alerts in order to find out when properties become available for bid. To Learn more about Tax Auctions Click Here.

www.publicsurplus.com

publicsurplus.com is a wonderful site with free government auctions throughout the country. As far as I know it is free to register. There you may find anything from scrap metal to school buses for sale. you can make searches by state or search the whole site altogether.

www.govdeals.com

govdeals.com is one of my favorite free government auction sites. It virtualy has auctions from every State in the union. But better than that, a lot of their auctions are narrowed down to local Counties or Cities. Check with them often. Just because there isn't something up for bid near you this week, doesn't mean there won't be one there the next.

www.lonestarauctioneers.com

lonestarauctioneers.com is a free to join Government Auction site as far as I know. The site hosts auctions for some of the following Government agencies: City of Miami Gardens Florida, City of Fort Worth Texas, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, City of Miami Florida, U.S. Marshals Service, and Alabama State Treasury Unclaimed Assets to name a few. I have also seen online auctions on this site from Universities, Medical Centers, Goodwill Industries, and many more. The items you will find up for auction on the site are virtually limitless. As on many Government Auction sites I have seen vehicles, industrial equipment, clothing, collectible coins, and a whole lot more. So go ahead and visit the site, you may find something useful.

www.asset-auctions.com

Asset-Auctions.com is a site that mainly hosts surplus auctions for the States of Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. They auction off industrial equipment, municipal equipment, vehicles, machinery, and more.

www.govtvehiclesdirect.com

The name of this site speeks for itself in terms of what is being sold. The site auctions off vehicles for the GSA, (U.S. General Services Administration) but I have seen vehicles authorized for sale by the IRS also. Many of the vehicles may seem to be auctioned for a high price but when you examine closer you will see that the mileage on many of these vehicles are very low. Which means that the vehicle has not been used that much.

Now here is a list of Official Government Auction Sites where you will find more info.
